Bloody Vampires

Who: Koakuma, Flandre Scarlet, Patchouli Knowledge
Where: Scarlet Devil Mansion
What: When Koakuma finds a bloodied Flandre things get bit tense
Watch For: Jumping to Conclusions, Magician Interrupt

Flandre Scarlet yawwwwns quietly as she comes back into the library, eyes half-lidded, still sprinkled in blood, presumably the same blood, from earlier. Her right hand and arm however is painted crimson, though it looks like at least some attempt at clean up was made.. as it's smeared all along her arm now. "mmnnghhhhhh....." she grumbles as she trudges to the library table and then rests her chin on it, her eyes looking up to gaze out over koakuma and patchouli in their studies.

====================

Koakuma admittedly was following a blood trail in the library. Her crimson eyes looking down and staring about as the Devil was trying to figure out just who was trailing blood through a nice clean library. And soon she's following the path to find something unexpected.

Slumped down into the table was Flandre, bloodied and her wings being as they were, "L-Lady Flandre?" She asked as she took a deep breath, the Devil's wings unfurling fully as she took another deep breath, A bloodied vampire was always an odd thing to see and usually put the Minor Devil in on guard. SHe knew she had the magic ready to deal with a possible panic but if the vampire was calm things would be a bit more civil. "Are you well?" The Devil asked as Koakuma's headwings twitched and shifted as her crimson eyes looked at Flandre.

====================

Flandre appeared to be in fine health, she just looked exhausted as she was slumped, chin resting on a table. Her wings were sprawled out behind her, their tips dragging towards the ground. She yawwwwns again and then boredly sinks her fangs into the top of the library table with a -thunk-. On closer inspection however... one of the crystals on her left wing was. . . slightly... askew, as if it's base bad been bent, but aside from that she looked fine.

As the devil drew near though, and inquired, Flan gave a grumbling mumble in response, before pulling her fangs free with another -thcktch-, leaving behind a few splinters of wood and two fang holes in the desk. She slowly rises back to a standing position, her body slightly hunched forward, though with her arms completely limp and her head lowered forward, giving her a rather creepy appearance with the blood that was still visible along her right arm and hand.

"Ufufufufufu...."

her giggling was quiet at first, her shoulders rising and falling slightly with each laugh, but after a few moments, she brings her hands up in front of her and examines them, palms up, before she throws her head back and begins laughing, her wings flaring and flapping behind her. "Kyaa-haa-ha-ha-haa-ha-haaa!~"

====================

And that was something that quickly drove Koakuma into a near panic, her wings unfurling quickly as she looked to be ready to fight or flee whatever the case. No movement to jump to the skies and take the battle to the air above the library but no action to approach Flandre with her laughing like that. She remembered the time during the Scarlet Mist where Flandre looked to be losing herself but this was a bit odd. Flandre was blooded or haddrawn blood and seemed to be having a bit too much excitement with that mad laughter. "Are you well?" Koakuma repeated as she knew just how strong Flandre was and just how much damage she could do by accident. No sign of Taro around so that was good...And Mistress likely could sense if he was wounded, or so the devil thought. So the boy should be fine.

====================

Flandre flexes her hands, her crimson claws extending slightly as she brings her right hand up to her face while her laughing ceases, her attention taken by the devil behind her, which causes her to stand up straight and rigid. After a moment though she begins to relax again, and she drags her left hand along the table-top, peeling 4 strips of wood off the top with grinding, churning, ear-grating sound while she turns around to face koa. Her crimson eyes immediately focus in on the devil and furrow into slits, scrutinizing the book keeper while a cruel, pleased smile parts her lips.

Flandre slowly brings her right hand back to her face, and her pointed tongue could be seen as it slithers past her lips, the girl opening her mouth as she licks blood off her arm before licking up along her palm and through her fingers, her eyes unwaiveringly locked onto you.

====================

There was a feeling that instantly ran through the Devil's body. IT wasn't something that she experienced before the Greater Devil of the Temple or when staring down the Creator. The Killing intent was just visible off this Vampire as the Devil held her ground but her muscles tensing as she felt herself tensing like a spring, her tail shifting and twitching as she knew that this was on the edge of becoming a battle. Of becoming a nightmare.

Koakuma quickly glanced to the left. Quickly glanced to the right as if identifying where she was and trying to determine just which paths would lead to additional support measures and which would lead to escape. There was always the option of pulling a possible battle outside. "Lady Flandre, please calm yourself."

====================

Flan's left hand finally drags off the table, sweeping the 5 shavings to the floor as she closes her mouth and slowly begins to step towards the devil, her right arm and hand, now glistening with a mixture of blood and saliva, reaching out towards her slowly, calmly, methodically. Her steps are light and her wings clatter gently as she walks, except for the single skewed crystal.

"Little fish in a big pond. . ."

She muses contemplatively, her gaze filled with the desire for hunt. She takes another step, her gaze semi-hollow, looking past and through you, rather than at you.

====================

Koakuma backed away slowly, "Lady Flandre? Please calm down or I'll have to use that spellcard." The devil's voice was full of uncertainty as she took each step slowly but surely backwards as she looked to the Vampire. SHe could feel her heart rate starting to pick up, "You shouldn't go outside in this kind of mood, You're far too excited." Koakuma swallowed as the crimson haired devil pushed off the ground to take to the air, her wings propelling her skywards with a single powerful flap as she moved to hold her ground and battle Flandre if it prevented her from going on a rampage.

It was a bit suicidal of a plan but if it could just be simple danmaku she could be able to at least tire her out a bit. Just hopefully it didn't get into physical combat...

====================

Even though Koa flew up into the air, Flan continued to stare hollowly forwards for a few moments before her gaze belatedly moves up to gaze at the flying devil once more. A grin parts her lips as she closes her eyes and shakes her head from side to side with a happy giggle, and she folds her arms across her chest as she follows suit, her wings spreading and carrying her slowly up to meet the devil. Once at the same altitude as Koa, her grin only widens as she shows off her blood-coated arm. "Do you want to know who's blood this is. . .?" she giggles, her wings fluttering as she spins in a circle happily.

====================

That's something Koakuma hadn't asked she was a bit afraid to ask this, "Y-Yes Lady Flandre... I would like to know who's blood that is," she asked as she took in a deep breath. The Devil could feel her body ready for a fight now. Just how did Flandre get blooded. Mistress would have been notified if there was an incident, The spell would have been cast and the rains having begun. "Please tell me who's blood that is," She said as she held her ground, her wings beating slowly to keep her in air as she took another deep breath, her tail twitching behind her betraying her anxiety

====================

In perhaps a cruel twist of irony, Flandre giggles and tilts her head to to the side with a deceptively innocent smile and shrugs casually. "I don't know~" she teases with a coy giggle "It's unknown who's blood it is." she finally admits, that smirk returning as she licks up the back of her hand slowly. "They didn't tell me their name before I punched them in their stupid face and sent them to hell from the heavens!~" she exclaims, her wings flaring before she begins laughing and twirling happily again. "Kyahahahahaheheheheheeee!~ They left a hole too~ Maybe the maid will plant a flower in her memory~"

====================

And then Koakuma's eyes went wide then her pupils narrowed, "Flandre. You knwo you're not allowed to do that." Her heart was beating quickly, "You can't just go around killing people," She said as she focused and drew a spellcard from her vest pocket, "If I have to battle you to get you to calm down I'll do it," such a big boast from a little devil but with her voice there was an underpinning of terror in her voice. Fear of the power of this vampire. And with how crazed she was this might become something a bit more brutal than danmaku would end, "It'd be one card on one card if we battle." She's definitely putting on a brave face for this but something about Flandre inspired fear.

====================

Flan's laughter was interrupted by the devil's slight admonishment, and she stops suddenly, a look of displeasure coming over her face as she takes a more serious demeanor. "And who . . . are -you-, to tell -me- what to do?" she queries, her eyes narrowing back in obvious annoyance. "If you must know...." she continues as she flicks her hand, 3 carsd appearing between her fingers in a flourish. "It's not my fault!" she huffs back slightly angrily, throwing her arm to the side. "I told her not to touch me! And she didn't listen, so I punched her in her stupid rat face!" she huffs. "And now my wing is crooked!"

====================

Koakuma could feel fear in her as she backed away, "You just can't do that Flandre. Humans are fragile! How many times must we tell you that. Humans are much more fragile than youkai and vampires. You can't do that." And there is Koakuma feeling that pressure, Everything seemed to be slowing down for her. "You can fix your wing. You can't fix humans once you do that to them." She said she was trying to keep up her nerve as she started to climb once more to get more ground under her. "Now Who declares first?" Taro was out of the line of fire and Mistress was safe. She could hold her own it's just danmaku. It's just danmaku.

====================

Who said the mistress was 'safe'. Patchouli's finger glows a light blue as she walks from one of the bookcases in the library, her other hand holding her massive tome. "I trust we're not going to have a duel in my library now, are we?" she questions with a firm tone upon her voice, staring at the Little Mistress and Koakuma with a heavy and tired gaze. "There is much knowledge to be had in this library and I will not have it ruined by this."

====================

Flandre growls back, her hand curling into a fist. "It was a rat! A walking, talking rat! She put her grubby little paws all over my wings! I told her not to and she continued! So I punched her in her face! Is that so wrong!?" she yells back, clearly angry as she huffs. If she weren't upset earlier, she certainly was now, her patience wearing thin. After that, she was mostly silent save for the beating of her wings, though after Patchouli showed up, Flan gave her a slightly weary look, and she stiffens up suddenly as she hears the thunder crack outside, causing her angry glare to turn to one of alert curiousity for just a moment as she turns her head before quickly flying towards one of the library windows to look outside.

====================

Koakuma let out a deep breath as she looked to hear her Mistress approaching and the sound of thunder and it sounds like Koakuma was saved from the danger of having to fight to try and keep Flandre in the mansion itself, "Mistress..." Koakuma said softly as she held her ground not wanting to break this breif pause in the tension. She's still on knife's edge for fighting but with Flandre it's just so hard to predict her, if she'd quickly calm down or continue in her rage. It was a dangerous game to assume they were in the clear but Koakuma continued to float in air her wings beating steadily as she took another deep breath Her crimson eyes never leaving Flandre, There was a minor bend in her wings but that would fix. She knew this was a standoff and that hopefully no more blood would be shed before this could be calmed down.

====================

IT was indeed raining heavily outside, the left hand still held up with the blue finger. "While it was wrong of my servant to challenge you to a duel like that, which I will get onto her about later, she is right. Nearly anyone not of the mansion, Taro excluded, are fragile beings." she gives a light bow, looks to be an apologetic one, "I also apologize for scaring you with the thunder and rain. Now please, have a seat and I will have a look at your wings."

====================

Flan could only stare aghast outside at the sleeting rain, and her countenance falls. She gazes out with arched brows and a defeated, sad frown while she rests her right hand on the glass, leaving behind a small blood smear. ". . ." she was silent at first as patchouli spoke, but with time the words gradually sank in and the girl came to, albeit crestfallen. A deep sigh accents her as she turns, her hand sliding down the glass and leaving a crimson streak as she turns and flaps over to pathouli, before landing next to her like a begrudging child that knew she was in trouble. ". . . fine. . ." she mumbles, averting her eyes before she climbs up into a chair and sits with crossed arms. ". . . still not my fault. . ." she grumbles.

====================

Koakuma had believed that she would be able to stall for time at least with a duel and prevent Flandre from tearing out of the mansion once more in her bloodlust but that would lead to her explanation later. Still Koakuma slowly descended, slipping the spellcard back to where it came from as she made a silent landing, her wings folding neatly behind her as she still could feel her heart racing and her body tense from the aborted battle. "I apologize Mistress." She said as she moved to lurk near her Mistress while keeping an eye near Flandre. Even though things were defused the devil still couldn't feel fully calm yet.

====================

The magician gives a nod, "Fault or no fault, there was still an action that you didn't have to perform. I wonder if you do listen to my lessons sometimes, Flandre." Patchouli walks up behind the vampire, taking a look at the wing structure curiously. She wasn't an expert in this field, but at least it was something. "Now, instead of violence, what are some of the other ways you could have handled that. I know you know of a couple."

====================

Flan takes a deep breath before giving an exasperated sigh as she falls back dramatically into her chair, her legs dangling off the edge while she throws her hands in the air before letting them flop lifelessly to her sides. "It's no use... you'll only hear what you want to hear again! I already know what you're going to say." she huffs, giving her wings a flutter. "I used my words! And they didn't work! So I used my fists! And they worked!" she defends herself, her wings flaring, making them difficult to examine with how much they were moving, though it seemed like the left wing was slightly bent, with the 2nd to last crystal tweaked at an angle... as if someone had been clinging to it and was then suddenly punched with the force of an oni and knocked straight off of it. . . "...not my fault." she grumbles stubbornly, but quietly, once more.
Flandre Scarlet says, "stupid rat mouse ear girl . . ."

====================

Koakuma's left headwing perked, "Wait it was some youkai?" she asked. With this it lead to the Devil looking down, "I had assumed it was human..." She said softly as the devil had envisioned Flandre having pretty much exploded some human with a punch. Still this was only a small respite as it meant that it would be a bit of complication with the Temple but nothing that bad. "She's not dead right?" She said as she wanted to make sure as it would be a bit problematic if it was that was true. Especially since it might have lead to Nori becoming involved with things once more.

====================

"Rat... eared girl." Patchouli shakes her head and hmms softly. She sets her book down and grasps at the bent crystal and tugs it back into place. "I will have a talk with the highers of that girl. I do, however, ask that you restrain yourself a bit more, Flandre. We cannot be having incidents of such nature. It would look unwell on you and Mistress." a pause "I did overhear that you wish to join parties and more, but you cannot if this is how you react."

====================

The blond girl nods quickly with a huff. "I tried to tell you!" she exclaims, her wings fluttering and nearly smacking patchy as she does her examination, but after a moment she calms down again. Flan winces and cringes a little bit with a whine as the crystal is bent back, causing her to grit her teeth and clench her hands into fists... which causes a desk half way across the library, but directly in front of her, to explode violently from an accidental detonation. Despite this though, she gives a relieved sigh and looks back over her shoudler before giving her wings a testing flutter.

"Kya-ha!~" she laughs happily, her mood suddenly skyrocketing as she slides to her feet and immediately glomps patchouli, wrapping her arms around the mage and squeezing her tightly and lovingly. "You fixed it!" she cries out happily, obviously overjoyed at her precious wing's salvation. "Heee!~ It's so pretty ance beautiful again! Just like big sis's wings!" she flutters happily

====================

And there goes a desk exploding. That's not good. "I'm sorry Flandre for jumping to conclusions... I had feared for the worse," the devil said as her headwings drooped, "STill it looks quite good that the wings are nice and well fixed then," Koakuma said, "And Mistress I'll get to cleaning up the desk now if you wish." Thankfully there were always more desks but getting all the pieces of desk did take a while to clean up. STill it was better than something valuable being exploded
====================

Patchouli gives a nod and as soon as that nod finishes, she's on the floor and squeezed by a vampire. "Mukyuu!" as she's splayed out on the floor under the vampire. "I'm... glad that I could have helped and the only injury was a desk." she looks to Koakuma from her prone position, giving a nod. "Please do, and meet me in my chambers shortly, I'll need a word with you." Patchouli's tone was stern but done in care.

====================

Flandre Scarlet gives the librarian one more squeeze before giggling with a grin "Okay, I gotta go now the rain's gone! Bye!" she says happily with a wink before flash-stepping past a book shelf and sprinting towards the hallway doors.

====================

Koakuma sighed as Flandre ran out of the library quickly. Such a hard to figure out Girl that was. Still Koakuma starts to go to start cleaning up the destroyed desk and taking note to restore the damaged desk... Such a long day. Of course there was also reporting to Mistress later for punishment. Such a long night this was going to be for this devil.
